Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.7
Hollow Lantern is quiet, atmospheric, and genuinely a little eerie. You explore a deserted coastal town one room at a time, solving environmental puzzles and piecing together what happened to the people who lived there. The storytelling is all in the details.
Puzzles are logical, never the moon-logic kind that make you resent the designer. Everything you need is usually in the same screen, and the hint system is gentle if you get stuck. I played it in two long sittings and was fully absorbed both times.
The art and ambient sound carry a lot of the mood. If you like slow, thoughtful games, this one's a quiet gem.
